Cruise to the Cinque Terre
Departing from La Spezia, we will sail across the Gulf of the Poets towards Portovenere. Here we will cruise past this stunnning and historic village, commonly known as the “sixth village of the Cinque Terre” and famous for it’s unique architecture, Byon’s Grotto and the iconic St. Peter’s Church perched on the rocky point that protects the entrance to the gulf.
From here, we will head up the coast enroute to the Cinque Terre. Along the way you will see the dramatic landscape and historical relics between Portovenere and Riomaggiore that are only visible by sea.
Once we enter the Cinque Terre National Park, we will explore the five villages by sea. Depending on the tour you decide on, there will also be an opportunity to get off the boat and explore one or more of these charming villages.
Throughout the day, you will have the opportunity to stop and swim and snorkel in some of the pristine, protected coves along the coast, and have ample time to photograph not only the most famous sights along the way, but also all the hidden gems we are eager to share with you.
After having some time to relax on the boat with good music, we will then return to La Spezia.

- The remaining balance is paid on board the boat.
How is the remaining balance paid?
The remaining balance is paid directly on board the boat, preferably in cash. Credit card payments are accepted but will incur a 3% surcharge.
What happens if the weather is bad or the sea is rough?
Safety is our top priority. In the case of poor sea or weather conditions, we will contact you as early as possible. Depending on availability, we may:
- Reschedule your tour
- Offer alternative tour options
- Cancel the tour if conditions are unsafe
If we cancel due to weather, your deposit will be fully refunded.
Is my deposit refunded if the tour is canceled due to weather?
Yes. If we are unable to operate the tour due to unsafe weather or sea conditions, there are no cancellation fees, and your deposit is fully refunded.
Where do Cinque Terre boat tours depart from?
All of our boat tours depart from La Spezia. After booking confirmation, we will send detailed meeting point instructions based on whether you are arriving by car, train, or on foot.
Is parking available near the departure point?
Yes, there are two large parking lots near the departure area in La Spezia. We will provide directions to the most convenient option based on your arrival route.
Is it possible to depart from alternative ports?
Yes. In addition to La Spezia, in some cases it is also possible to arrange departures from the nearby ports of Portovenere and Lerici. These options are subject to availability, sea conditions, and the type of tour requested. We recommend contacting us in advance to confirm feasibility.
